Acquired Books*

Sunbolt and The Bone Knife by Intisar Khanani [bought] [I read Thorn by Intisar Khanan this week and it was awesome! Highly recommended for fans of YA high fantasy. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately went and bought her other books.]

Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine [library]

Reading Plans

I’m reading Scorpion Shards by Neal Shusterman at the moment. It’s okay. I was really hoping it was going to be as awesome as Unwind but that hasn’t been the case so far.

After I finish that, I’m planning on  reading Mockingbird soon. I’m using it as my “Contemporary Fiction” square for my Reading Outside the Box Challenge.

What I’ve Been Watching

Not Doctor Who…yet. Sadly I work on Saturdays so I can’t watch Doctor Who until later. Hopefully the season premiere will be up OnDemand by the time I get home from work this afternoon.

I’m still slowly watching The Killing on Netflix. I feel like I need to add a more upbeat show to the mix. I’ve been watching too many dramas. Any recommendations of fun and/or upbeat shows on Netflix?

I just got the first DVD of Downton Abbey Season 4 in the mail yesterday so I’ll get to that soon. I can’t just leave Downton yet. Not after how Season 3 ended.

What did you get this past week?
What are you planning on reading this week?

*I’m linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. I miss seeing all the good books people get! I’m sure my TBR lists doesn’t miss it though.

  1. You NEVER know who where and how will push you to get a new book yourself! I am following one girl on youtube, her chanel actually is about cosmetics. But she has taken a video recently that is about “easy reading”-books with another youtube girl whos specialisation is ta-daaaa!!!! books.
So during that video I got myself “Across the Universe” by Beth Rives. God bless E-Books!

      • I hope so too, as I really liked what the girls on youtube told about the story. And it is for the “reading out of the box” challenge, too. So I really really hope the book won’t dissapoint me as the challenge supposed to make fun xD

  2. I’m glad you enjoyed Thorn! Sunbolt looks good too. I haven’t seen Doctor Who yet either and I’m trying really hard not to see any spoilers. I got an ebook called Firebolt this week and a Netgalley of Soulless.

  3. My go-to fun and upbeat show on Netflix has always been Scrubs. I watch it now and then when I am feeling down. OR if you have cable? And I confess this guiltily? I have become hugely fond of an HGTV show called Property Brothers. Everybody is cheerful on that show, and they always end up with a house they love. Because it’s Canadian.

    • Oooh Scrubs is a good pick. I’m probably overdue for a rewatch…

hehe, funny that you mention HGTV. If I can’t decide what I want to watch, I just turn the tv to HGTV and watch whatever is on. I think I’ve seen a few episodes of Property Brothers. It is very cheerful.
