Reading Plans

I’m reading on Blood Red Road at the moment. It’s okay. I’m not usually a fan of the rough dialogue in books. Yes, I get that the character grew up with little to no education but I could do without the weird slang and no quotes. Other than that the book is entertaining enough.

I’ve been neglecting my Kindle lately so I might try to read a book or two off of that this week. Anything off my shelf that you’d recommend?

What I’ve Been Watching

I watch enough television and movies so I thought I should also talk about what I’ve been watching recently. I’m just about to finish up with season 3 of Downton Abbey. I just have the Christmas special left. I watched Ernest and Celestine this week. It was a really sweet children’s movie. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of the books! I’ve also started watching The Killing recently. I don’t watch a ton of cop shows but it’s going well enough. The only thing that’s messing me up is I’m used to cop shows switching cases every episode (or two) so being 5 episodes in and still on the same case is odd.

What did you get this past week?
What are you planning on reading this week?

*I’m linking up to Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. I miss seeing all the good books people get! I’m sure my TBR lists doesn’t miss it though.

  1. I’ve been meaning to read Blood Red Road. I hate it when the author feels the need to write with poor grammar, it annoys me. I look forward to seeing what you think of the whole book. I enjoyed reading about the books on your list. 🙂 Here are my top 4: (Just my two cents, feel no need to listen to me.)

    The Annihilation of Foreverland
    Beyond New Eden

    • You’re the second vote for Thorn so guess that’s what I’m reading next! I’ve heard great things about it as well. I really hope it lives up to those expectations.

What are your thoughts? (Comments are moderated. Yours will be up as soon as I read it!)
