“Cabin Fever (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #6)”by Jeff Kinney
Genre: Children’s/Middle Grade Fiction, Humor
Summary from Goodreads:
Greg Heffley is in big trouble. School property has been damaged, and Greg is the prime suspect. But the crazy thing is, he’s innocent. Or at least sort of.
The authorities are closing in, but when a surprise blizzard hits, the Heffley family is trapped indoors. Greg knows that when the snow melts he’s going to have to face the music, but could any punishment be worse than being stuck inside with your family for the holidays?
This book is about on par with all of the others I’ve read so far. I was pretty happy that Greg matured a bit in this book. He and Rowley did screw up by accidentally defacing school property. When Rowley ‘confessed’, it threw Greg under the bus. I fully expected Greg to take Rowley down with him but he ended up taking the punishment by himself. It’s not a huge amount of progress but compared to the other books, it’s a huge step for Greg.
The bottom line? Enjoyable.
