Listed: Books To Read In 2013

ListedI’m probably going to be overly ambitious with the books I’d like to read. I don’t have as much downtime as I used to and it will take a while to adjust to that. I’m very used to reading 2/3 books a week! Oh well, here are some the books I would like to read this year.

What books are you hoping to read this year?

  1. I just finished reading Cinder & loved it (now I’m so excited for Scarlet)! I’ve never read a Jane Austen novel before, but I’ve been wanting to read Pride & Prejudice. My friend who is a huge Jane Austen fan sent me 3 character personality quizzes having to do with literary characters, and I got Elizabeth Bennet on all of them. So now I want to read the novel! 🙂

    Alice @ Alice in Readerland

  2. There are a bunch of sequels I’m planning to read this year: Scarlet (sequel to Cinder), Rebel Heart (Blood Red Road), Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky), the third Divergent book, the rest of Suzanne Collins’ Gregor books, etc. I’m also embarking on my own reading challenge to read a book from an author with a last name starting with A, then an author whose last name starting with B, all the way to Z!

  3. I’m doing a little happy dance (in my mind, because I’m too exhausted to get off the couch) because you some of my favorites on your list. Book of a Thousand Days (I know you know how much I loved that one), Cinder and best of all Pride and Prejudice! Have you been watching the Lizzie Bennet Diaries on youtube?

I also want to read Little Women this year. We’ll see if I actually do 🙂

    Good luck!

    • 🙂 I haven’t been watching the Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I did watch the first one and thought it was pretty funny. I think I’ll watch them whenever I get around to reading P&P.

      • Yeah, I think it would be best to read P&P first, and then watch LBD. It’s a great series, and awesome stuff has been happening of late, so it is pretty much all I can think about 🙂

What are your thoughts? (Comments are moderated. Yours will be up as soon as I read it!)
