In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren (who was inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie‘s This Week in Books). Basically you just post about new books that came into your house over the past week, whether in the mail or by getting them at the library or by buying them in a store.

I really wasn’t planning on doing another IMM so soon but I bought/got awesome goodies this week so I just had to share.

First of all, I bought a Kindle Fire this week!

It’s awesome so far. And I got a good deal on it so that makes it even better.

I did a write up/review of it if you’re interested about my thoughts.

I ended up getting some Kindle books this week as well.

  1. I love when kindle deals pop up too. It seems like they are getting more frequent.

    • The trick is to think of them as good for different things. I use my Kindle for review books, free public domain books, super cheap deals, and going on trips. I still read (and own tons) physical books so I don’t consider it cheating. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.

  11. I feel like my own Kindle Fire is full of cheap buys… Some of them have been super fantastic too! I wholeheartedly support having an online book club; I’ll have to try to participate sometime! 🙂

  12. A book club? I would love to join! (can I?)
    I got my Kindle Fire for Xmas & I gotta admit I neglected it *cries* for my tablet. The other night my tab battery died & I left the charger at work so I used my KF for more than 2 minutes & I am lovin my new baby. I wish it was a bit bigger screened. I tried to read a book using my PDF App & it couldn’t make it fit right 😦 Using the PDF book as a Kindle book it was too small. I couldn’t win!

  21. Congratz on the Kindle Fire!! I hope to get a tablet soon – so I can take advantage of both the Kindle and Nook apps and selections 😀
