In My Mailbox (7)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren (who was inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie‘s This Week in Books). Basically you just post about new books that came into your house over the past week, whether in the mail or by getting them at the library or by buying them in a store.

I got several books this week.

Library:

Beauty Queens by Libba Bray [Review coming tomorrow!]
The Alchemyst by Michael Scott [I ended up giving up on this. So disappointed.]

Downloaded:

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness (I think it’s still $2.99!)

Gifted (my mom bought these for me):

Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls ($2.60 ish at Borders)
The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Author Conan Doyle ($1.50 ish at Borders)

Bought:

Specials by Scott Westerfeld ($4 at Borders. I really need to read this series already)

This was a pretty good week. I finally got some books that I’ve been meaning to read for a while. I may have to hit up Borders one more time this week. Supposedly this is the last week (next to last week?). I know the selection is weird at this point but I can probably find some gems (or at least interesting books) for super cheap.

What did you get this week?

  1. Ooh, nice books this week! I bought Beauty Queens for my kobo months ago and still haven’t gotten around to reading it (too many books, too little time!) lol 🙂

Here’s my (excessive) IMM this week! 😛

  2. I saw the Patrick Ness book deal but I’m on the fence about it. Looking forward to your review. Hope you like the Westerfeld series- I own the books but haven’t read them yet either.
    Happy reading 🙂

    • I loved Where The Red Fern Grows as a kid so I couldn’t turn down a cheap copy. I hope you enjoy Beauty Queens when you get to it. It’s a lot different than I thought it would be.

What are your thoughts? (Comments are moderated. Yours will be up as soon as I read it!)
