With yesterday’s news of J.K. Rowling’s new book, it’s hard for a Harry Potter fan not to celebrate. Even though the book isn’t Harry Potter related, let’s break out the butterbeer to celebrate anyway.
I’ve hunted online for years for a really tasty butterbeer recipe. I’ve tried other people’s recipes before but I’ve never really loved any of them. After messing around, I’ve finally made one that I really like.
Super Easy Butterbeer
Makes 1 serving
1/2 cup of Butterscotch Syrup (This is the one I like but use whatever you have)
8 oz. of Cream Soda
1. Microwave the syrup for 20-30 seconds. Just enough to make it easy to stir.
2. Mix in the soda. Go slow because it will bubble quite a bit.
3. Pour over ice.
4. Pretend you’re at Hogsmeade. [Optional.

The recipe is really simple so you should have no problem making a bigger batch. Just keep the rough proportions.
Enjoy!

Oh, that’s great!
Hope to find it in German language ASAP! =)
Does this translation make sense: http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?doit=done&tt=url&intl=1&fr=bf-home&trurl=http%3A%2F%2Fthecheapreader.wordpress.com%2F2012%2F02%2F24%2Fhow-to-make-easy-butterbeer%2F&lp=en_de&btnTrUrl=Translate
I meant the book =))
Translation is funny xD The Harry Potter – Ventilator xDDD
Ooooh. Gotcha. It’s probably going to be a while. The book isn’t even going to come out for years!
why for years? there is written they gonna announce the date of release _later_ in the year. So I think the chances to get it in English in 1,5 years are good.
))
I am the optimistic one today
P.S.: I can not choose between hunger games (in German it is called Panem Trilogy. Do you have any idea why?) and Uglies. Any recommendations?
Well, the way I understand it is the book hasn’t even been written yet. So it will have a year or two to write plus a year or two of editing and other things to get the book published. Then another year to translate it. See? It’s probably going to be years!
Panem is the country they live in! I liked both series. I’m planning on re-reading the Hunger Games next month!
I didn’t read the whole column and thought the book is already written… shame on me.
Panem coasts 17,90 euro per book and there is no e-book version yet, so I decided to wait until July for the cheaper edition.
Uglies, I am comming!
It’s disappointing.
Awww. Boo. Oh well Uglies is fun too!
yeah, especially when you calculate THREE books.
))
I hate German Book-politic.
I am reading the Games of Throne. It is only 4 Volumes, but Germans made 10 out of them and each paper book coasts 15 euro, e-book 9,99 and 11,99 euro
I gonna move under the bridge soon… I hope I find one in the McDonald’s near, so I can use free wlan
:O That’s ridiculous.
Oops, I was wrong, there are 5 books, not 4. But I don’t feel better about it anyway. sad “haha”
Yum! I got to visit the Harry Potter Wizarding World at Universal in Florida over Christmas and it was so amazing. While waiting for my husband to go through the singles line for the ride (I had to watch the bags, after already having my turn), I went and got a butterbeer. It was awesome! I got it frozen and it was like a slushie. Thanks for the recipe — I’ll have to relive the moment and make it sometime.
Let me know how it compares! I haven’t had a chance to go there yet.
YUM! I need to try this!
I hope you like it! I think it’s pretty tasty.
