The Book: I picked up an all in one copy of the Lord of the Rings trilogy on Tuesday at the library. I’m only a few chapters into the Fellowship of the Ring at the moment. It’s okay so far but nothing that rocks my world. It’s a lot easier reading than I thought it would be. Hopefully I will enjoy it more as the story goes on.
The Tea: I found a bag of Organic Pomi-Berry tea in the back of the cabinet. It was pretty gross. I do not like chamomile at all. I thought the berries would mellow it out but they didn’t. I ended up just dumping the cup because of how gross it was. This just reaffirms the fact that I’m a black (or if I’m feeling exotic, chai) tea kind of girl.
Do they go together? Well, I remember Frodo drinking some tea several pages ago… I doubt it was Pomi-Berry tea though. So no they don’t really go together.

That’s pretty interesting fact, that Tolkien didn’t write these books in a high literal way, the language really is pretty easy, but not cheap and poor thought.
That’s what I’m finding out. To me it reads about the same level as Middle Grade books (books for kids 9-13 years old). I was pleasantly surprised.
I don’t like chamomile, either! Even the smell disgusts me.
I hate the smell too! I don’t know how people drink that stuff.
